Our Services
Matthew 25 serves residents in the Harris County area that live in the 770 zip codes. We assist with rent, mortgage, lights, water and gas bills.
Important Information
- •We see clients by appointment only
- •Absolutely No Walk-ins
- •Assistance is provided once every 2 years per household
- •Clients can only be seen once per bill
Assistance Provided
We assist with delinquent rent or mortgage as well as delinquent light, gas and water bills.
For Utility Assistance:
- •Each client must pay something on the bill first, then call for an appointment
- •Bring a receipt showing you have paid something towards the bill
- •Current disconnect notice from your utility company is required
- •We only assist with the past due amount on these bills
For Rental/Mortgage Assistance:
- •Get a money order payable to your complex or mortgage company, then call for an appointment
- •Bring money order receipt number
- •Bring a full copy of your current lease or mortgage payment coupons
- •Three day vacate notice from landlord/manager or proof of 30+ days delinquent from mortgage company
Required Documentation
Please bring the following documents to your appointment
Identification Documents
- ✓Texas Photo ID (must be current)
- ✓Driver's License (must be current)
- ✓Green Card, Metro Pass, or Texas Offenders I.D.
- ✓Social Security Cards for everyone in the household
Verification of Income
- ✓Most recent paycheck stubs for past 30 days
- ✓Disability, Social Security/SSI or TANIF Award Letter
- ✓Workmen's Compensation documentation
- ✓Child Support documentation
