Located in the heart of the historic Third Ward of Houston, Texas, Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church (WABC) has been committed to worshipping Jesus Christ and ministering to the total person since 1962. With a music ministry of over one hundred singers and musicians who have a heart for serving the Lord and His Church with excellence, WABC has sought to praise and worship God through song, in a way that will lead all generations to a closer relationship with Christ.
Coming out of a global pandemic, Chapters + Verses was birthed out of a nationwide desire for good, traditional gospel choir music and confirmation from Jesus Christ. The Lord is allowing Wheeler Avenue to bless the church community with music that is timeless, comes directly from the Scriptures, and will, prayerfully, help somebody along this journey called life.
